Human Resources (Hotel Lifestyle) – Change Management, Hong Kong

A well-recognized “boutique lifestyle” brand, with about a dozen unique properties in SE Asia and with several new properties in the pipeline seeks a senior Human Resources professional who understands the complexities of “a change” management.  “Change happens. It happens often and it happens fast”…, and you must navigate through it. “Whether it’s a system or cultural change, companies and organizations need to react swiftly to maintain regular operations”.  Can you be that change agent in Human Resources?

This individual will be based at the Group’s corporate office in Hong Kong and will be responsible for setting up all the systems in the Human Resources department.  Our client prefers a fresh “out of the box thinker” who can understand and identify with millennials.  “Speed” is their motto, but our client also want all the I’s &T’s crossed.

SE Asian experience is preferred, while Hong Kong experience or both would be helpful.

He/she must have come from a hotel group where “hands on” is the norm and achieved results whilst preparing the organization for growth and implementing scalable systems.  This person should in their career also have worked with a company that was structured.
Important: You must have worked in an organization where you have made a difference and accomplished something that you can stand up and say “we made a positive change management” …and have given employees instantaneous support for every one of their new needs

Either a hotel degree or an extended degree in HR management would be desirable.
Travelling should not be an issue, as you will be required to travel within SE Asia or wherever other hotels are acquired in the near future.

Salary: Negotiable dependent on applicant’s experience

Human Resources Manager – British Columbia

A boutique resort property in British Columbia requires the talents of a Human Resources Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of broad HR functions ensuring transactional processes for employees in a dynamic resort hospitality environment.
The ideal candidate should be an experienced human resources practitioner to oversee daily operations of the human resources main functions of identifying, developing, and retaining employees for peak performance. 
Management of the human resources department, including recruiting full and seasonal staff, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, safety, developing and maintaining human resources information systems, and related administration. You would also be very internet savvy.

The successful candidates will help develop a culture for providing effective service delivery.  He/she will implement efficient strategies to support talent development initiatives and help develop organizational capabilities.  The individual will lead initiatives to strengthen employee communication, staffing and talent development in a resort style setting.

This international hotel group is looking for a well-qualified individual who is a forward planner as well as having strong employee relations and team building skills.  You will be assisting the hotel General Manager and enthusiast Department Heads in attracting and retaining the best possible talent. 

Sound knowledge in developing recruitment and placement policies, systems and procedures including strategies and selection techniques. Plans, directs and administers, employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, employment insurance, workmen compensation insurance and other plans in accordance with procedures as regulated by the organization.

A salary of $65,000 being offered as well as an exceptional company benefit package.  Please note: Candidates that have hospitality experience and a formal Human Resources education would be preferred for this position.

Chinese speaking Hotel Learning and Development Manager – Hong Kong 

A very well respected and successful luxury hotel company that has been established for a decade seeks a Chinese speaking Learning and Development Manager, who will be based in Hong Kong.  
This group is a leader in their specialized market segment and currently has properties in most Asian countries.   

The ideal candidate must have a Degree in Training, Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or equivalent education from a reputed Institute.  He/She should have at least 10 years of experience out of which 3-5 years of managerial experience of handling Learning and Development functions in Internationally recognized brands.  

The individual should have superior communication skills in English and in Chinese languages, including Cantonese and Putoghua, along with the natural ability to train and work in a diverse team. 
To qualify for this role, you must also have strong organization skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is an important requirement. 

This post will report to the Group Director of Operations. 

Salary is in six figure range.
