Chief Human Resource Officer Hotels & Timeshare (VP HR) – Asia
(Recent Asian experience mandatory)

Our client is a subsidiary of a multinational conglomerate with diversified businesses and regional offices all through Asia & Africa. The client requires a strong and seasoned Chief Human Resource Officer (VP Human Resources).

He/she must be a stand up individual, someone who is proactive and can debate with the owner’s with well-prepared presentations. The person’s appearance must be exceptional and Asian experience is mandatory. They will have excellent, rounded human resource background and maintain a positive outlook.

  • Ability to guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resource services, policies, and matrix programs for several properties, organizational and space planning.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with local Asian labor laws and collective agreement practices is a must.
  • Asian experience is MANDATORY
  • Individual must be emotionally composed and have the ability to handle difficult conversations - most importantly maintain poise under pressure
  • Other traits include and are not limited to attention to details, organization, data entry skills, talent resources software, analyzing information, thoroughness, reporting research results and verbal and written communication
  • Business administration /human resources related qualification at a graduate or post graduate level is a must

Corporate Training Executive - UAE based

We are currently looking for a strong Learning & Development Executive. Someone who is a dynamic individual and who has a successful and in-depth training background preferably with demonstrated strengths in hospitality, public speaking, relationship building. He/she should be able to deliver an exceptional learning and development product. This role requires executing contracted hotel, restaurant and spa training to respective clients in the UAE & India; plus have a considerable working knowledge of star rated standards/benchmarks. He/she will also be required to act as a representative and ambassador of our client at all times; and be able to enhance and create additional resources for the Learning and Development training library.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a defined number of hotel, restaurant and spa training sessions to hospitality clients
- Conduct classroom training to departmental groups within each client property to represent and interpret the company's standards
- Communicate both internally and externally as necessary for training preparations; work with the client to determine agenda, recommended attendance and overall logistical planning
- Facilitate training classes with sensitivity to group dynamics and current star-rating level to create a positive and motivating learning environment
- Do follow-up consultation with the client to determine future needs in regards to trainings or evaluations; provide integral support in retaining and obtaining future business

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Has extensive training and/or learning and development background in the luxury hotel, spa and restaurant market
-Considerable knowledge of operations within the hospitality industry with experience Level of 7 or more years with preferred hospitality Learning & Development experience
-Substantial travel experience at the luxury level Internationally
- A unique blend of business acumen, technical aptitude and strong organizational skills; effective at multi-tasking and working as both an individual and as a team
- Proactive, insightful, independent thinker, highly efficient and possesses a refined attention to detail
- Flexible and can easily adapt to changing priorities on notice
- Excellent managerial skills and proven record of strong client-relationship building
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of a second language such as Hindi would be an asset
- Strong and confident presentation style
- Extremely organized, mature and self-motivated

Salary Package: Excellent base compensation (US$ 85 K - US$95K) based on experience - (Bonus per annum plus incremental bonus based on KPIs)

Hotel Director of Human Resources – Southern California

Our client, a luxury resort opening in Southern California is currently searching for Director of Human Resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of broad HR functions ensuring transactional processes, systems and services are effectively delivered to the operations partners, employees and other customers in a dynamic hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate should be an experienced human resources practitioner to oversee daily operations of the human resources main functions of identifying, developing, and retaining employees for peak performance. Management of the human resources department, including recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, safety, developing and maintaining human resources information systems, and related administration. You would also be very internet savvy.

The successful candidates will help develop a culture for providing effective service delivery. He/she will implement efficient strategies to support talent development initiatives and help develop organizational capabilities. The individual will lead initiatives to strengthen employee communication, staffing and talent development.

This international hotel group is looking for a well-qualified individual who is a forward planner as well as having strong employee relations and team building skills. You will be assisting the hotel General Manager and Department Heads in attracting and retaining the best possible talent. Sound knowledge in developing recruitment and placement policies, systems and procedures including strategies and selection techniques. Plans, directs and administers, employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, employment insurance, workmen compensation insurance and other plans in accordance with procedures as regulated by the organization.

Director of Human Resources – Malaysia

One of the well-recognized Malaysian Groups who owns several 4 and 5 star properties seeks a strong Chinese/Asian Director of Human Resources for their newly renovated 5 star boutique Mansion in Malaysia 
The ideal candidate must have current or recent working experience in Malaysia or Asia in hotels which are boutique, Design or W Hotels style.
Preference to Malaysian citizens or PR.

Important requirements for this role are:
-        Previous or current knowledge and experience in Malaysia is mandatory.
-        Knowledgeable of local market employment conditions and labor laws is strongly preferred.
-        Bilingual – English and Chinese is mandatory.
-        Must have more than 5 years of experience as a Director of Human Resources in a similar 5 star boutique property. 
-        University/College degree in a related discipline.
-        Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
-        Self-confident, creative and proactive, able to prioritize and make effective decisions.
-        Ability to build strong relationships, interact and influence others at all levels of the organization.
-        Ability to gauge talent and a candidate’s potential fit within the company culture an asset.

Chinese speaking Hotel Learning and Development Manager – Hong Kong 

A very well respected and successful luxury hotel company that has been established for a decade seeks a Chinese speaking Learning and Development Manager, who will be based in Hong Kong.  
This group is a leader in their specialized market segment and currently has properties in most Asian countries.   

The ideal candidate must have a Degree in Training, Hospitality Management, Human Resources, or equivalent education from a reputed Institute.  He/She should have at least 10 years of experience out of which 3-5 years of managerial experience of handling Learning and Development functions in Internationally recognized brands.  

The individual should have superior communication skills in English and in Chinese languages, including Cantonese and Putoghua, along with the natural ability to train and work in a diverse team. 
To qualify for this role, you must also have strong organization skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is an important requirement. 

This post will report to the Group Director of Operations. 

Salary is in six figure range. 

Learning and Development Director – Caribbean

We are currently seeking a dynamic Learning & Development professional for our client in the Caribbean. Our client is a top luxury resort and requires an experienced Talent Development Manager who will ensure that all learning and development initiatives correlate with the company's Mission, Vision and Principles.

Responsibilities:
Designing and developing training and development programs based on both the organization’s and the individual's needs
Facilitating all company mandated training programs
Coordinating with the Company's Standard Specialists to ensure consistent departmental training and provides on going coaching and guidance
Overseeing all cross-training and educational assistance participation
Maintaining all resort hotel training records
Providing input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions to Managers in line with company guidelines
Participating in other aspects of the Human Resources function as directed
Manages the HR department in the absence of the Director of Human Resources

Experience and Education requirements required to qualify for a work permit:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, hotel management, human resources or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Five years’ work experience with at least two years as a full-time Hospitality Trainer/Training Manager. Hotel Operations experience is desirable
Must possess strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on professional communication and presentation skills.
Must possess or be willing to obtain the Certified Hospitality Trainer designation
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially PowerPoint
A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service

Compensation Details
Salary range is US $60- 65k 
Housing allowance of $2,500 per month
Vacation is 15 days per year
Sick benefits is 15 days per year
Relocation reimbursement to max of $3k inclusive of airfare
Major Medical Health Insurance with Overseas coverage (split 50% with employer)
Participation in property pension scheme (transferable or refundable at end of employment with company)
