Director of Finance – Caribbean

Our client, a five star deluxe resort in the Caribbean requires an experienced Director of Finance who, as a member of the resort's senior management team, will provide business and financial leadership and guidance in all matters relating to operation of the resort.  

Experience and Education requirements required to qualify for a work permit:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven record of successful, progressive management experience in the hospitality industry with a minimum of five years’ experience as Director of Finance/Controller in a full-service luxury hotel/resort environment with stand-alone accounting systems
  • Detailed knowledge of GAAP and the Uniform System of Accounts for Hotels and Clubs, point of-sale systems, property management systems (i.e. Opera, etc.) and general business and financial reporting systems (i.e. Hyperion, Sunsystems, Birchstreet, MS Office, MS Great Plains etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of all jobs in accounting, purchasing, systems management, and food and beverage control areas
  • Ability to assemble, analyze and understand integrated spread sheets, databases, and complex technical information

Additional requirements:

Preferably travelling single, however family status is ok (no schooling allowance provided)
Available to start 6 – 8 weeks from acceptance of offer (dependent on Immigration approvals)
The position will report directly to the Corporate Director of Finance Operations and the property Managing Director.

Compensation Details

  • • Salary range is 120 - 130K
  • • Housing allowance of 3,500k per month
  • • Vacation is 20 days per year
  • • Sick benefit is 15 days per year
  • • Relocation reimbursement to max of $3k

Director of Revenue Management - Jakarta, Indonesia

An independent SE Asian group who owns several luxury properties urgently seeks a strong Director of Revenue for their award winning and 5* hotel in Jakarta.  This is a busy city center hotel with more than 650 rooms, 6 F&B outlets, plus large volume banquets/meeting rooms.
Our client wants someone who has worked in large properties that are located in one of the busy business city centers in the luxury segment.
You must be “sharp and focused” with working experience in a very competitive market. As a Director of Revenue you will be responsible for maximizing revenue through room reservations by setting proactive selling strategies and action plans in order to achieve the budgeted revenue.

You will be responsible for maintaining a healthy business and your role will include key responsibilities such as: oversee the maximization of revenues through the combined efforts of the Reservations and Sales Departments. 
The ideal candidate will have a degree in the hospitality field with previous experience in a similar role for a minimum of 8 years within the Revenue Department of a hotel.

Computer literacy and previous experience with Opera is a must.

Financial Controller - Maldives

Our client, a beautiful new 5 star Resort & Spa in the Maldives with over 250 rooms and numerous restaurants, requires the talents of an excellent Financial Controller. This resort is much more than just a holiday destination that offers a stylish island setting with extraordinary restaurants and bars, and plenty of on-site activities to choose from. There is a large natural lagoon and lush tropical island surroundings that will simply take your breath away!

PROFILE

Solution driven individual who is sensitive to the needs of the business and its people.
Excellent organizational and intra departmental coordination skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Fluency in English is essential. Minimum of 5 years of experience with an international resort/hotel brand and/or combination of various financial roles.
Minimum of 2 years as a Financial Controller or Director of Finance role
Diploma or Bachelor degree in business or accounting
Experience in Asia an asset

JOB DESCRIPTION

Collects and analyzes data for Financial Statements
Ensures timely reporting and processing of financial documents and management reports
Liaise with managements and auditors
Development and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures

Compensation: Salary about $5000 - $6000 USD/monthly (negotiable), Net of Taxes, 2 year contract, accommodation, meals, laundry, 2 R&R Leaves annually plus 30 days annual leave, Free flight home each year, health insurance, prefer single status.

Assistant Financial Controller - Caribbean

Our client, a 5-star Island Resort located on a beautiful peninsula in the Caribbean with over 150 rooms and multiple restaurants, requires the talents of an excellent Assistant Financial Controller. 

As Assistant FC, you will be responsible for the hotel’s accounting and financial management requirements. Provide the management team with significant and timely information on the status of the hotel’s financial performance, and proactively assist with cost control, revenue improvement, profit enhancement opportunities and safeguarding of the company’s assets. You will be professionally qualified, experienced and well-versed with Accounting practices and procedures. The successful candidate must be ready to take over the Financial Controller position in a very short period of time.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following requirements:

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Understand revenue generation and profit/loss implications and cost controls
Ability to work as a team leader within the finance department
Have excellent communications skills

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 USD gross yearly,  and based upon experience, Bonus, 2 Year Contract, Accommodation, Meals, Laundry, Free Flight home each year, Health Insurance. Prefer single status but married will be considered.

(French) Revenue Manager – French Polynesia

One of the largest International brands, known for their 4 and 5 star properties worldwide is currently seeking a strong Revenue Manager for their 5* luxury resort newly opened in French Polynesia.
The primary responsibility of the Revenue Manager is to optimize this 120 room resort's revenue and implement revenue management and yield strategies to achieve maximum profitability.
The ideal candidate will have to implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices with the General Manager, consolidate the market and identify new revenue opportunities.
Acting as an overall business development consultant, you are required to analyze occupancy, average price and revenue per room in order to establish an effective pricing strategy.
In addition, the Revenue Manager will provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the General Manager and other Head of Departments.
Fluent in French and in English. A third language would be an asset.
Successful experiences as Revenue Manager or Assistant Revenue Manager in a 5* hotel.
Salary will be offered as per the strength and experience of the candidate.
Our client prefers single candidates and expat benefits will be given to the selected candidate.

Hotel Accountant – GTA, Ontario, Canada 

A prestigious and prominent well known boutique hotel with major food and beverage operations located in Toronto is seeking the talents for a Hotel Accountant. You will direct the financial operations of the hotel and other business profit centers to ensure the security of the assets of the company in a decentralized accounting environment.

This is a top end accounting position in a first class hotel that will supervises a number bookkeepers and accounting employees in a full range of functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit/Collections, Purchasing, Audit, Payroll, and/or Accounting Operations.

Must have Hotel/Hospitality experience, must be hands on and detail oriented.

Prerequisites:
A recognized accounting designation CA, CPA and CGA is a must for this senior accounting management role.

•Effective communication skills
•Hotel/Hospitality experience is a prerequisite.
•A Minimum of 4 years’ experience in hotel accounting in a financial/controller’s role
