Corporate Director of Facilities & Projects - Caribbean

Two Luxury Resorts in the Caribbean are seeking a Corporate Director of Facilities & Projects with 10+ years of experience to join their Executive Team. The Corporate Director of Facilities & Projects will oversee the functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and elevators. He/she will manage the maintenance of buildings and grounds, oversee contractors for facility renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical systems, and production floor arrangement.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures pertaining to the hospitality industry.

Main Duties include:

  • Manage and maintain electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment according to the Standard Operating Policies
  • Recruit and train facilities service staff, develop skill enhancement training programs and evaluation programs
  • Budget and forecast requirements
  • Develop ongoing maintenance and long term preventative maintenance programs
  • Supervise construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Direct the monitoring and maintenance of life safety systems
  • Resolve guest problems and complaints

Requirements: Fluency in English is required •Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or similar field) from a recognized University

Salary/Package Details: US $60K net + $10k bonus or negotiable based on experience plus meals, housing allowance, transportation allowance, annual return airfare and benefits.

Director Of Engineering - Maldives

A luxury resort in the Indian Ocean is seeking an experienced, well-seasoned "Director of Engineering". He/she should have five star luxury hotel experience and must have a high level of property maintenance knowledge. The position entails overall responsibility of the entire hotel, its grounds and the physical plant with emphasis on safety, security and asset protection. He/she should have sound knowledge of managing budgets, capital expenditures and energy conservation. The right candidate should be a professional who can develop and implement strategies that will deliver products and services which meet and exceed the needs of guests and employees keeping the financial goal of the property in mind. The Director of Engineering will lead the emergency response team for all facility issues. You must have a proven track record of working in a similar role in five star resort operations. Experience in an Indian ocean luxury resort would be an asset.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED, 2 year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics or a related professional area.
Experience: Minimum of 6/7 years' experience as a HOD in a 5 Star property in engineering and maintenance.
Training: Microsoft Office; HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.

SALARY & BENEFITS: • USD $6,000 - $6500 per month commensurate with experience + 20% hardship allowance. • Single status and single accommodation. • R&R benefits to Singapore • Live-in benefits extended to family on vacation • All meals • Yearly Vacation Airfare
