Sales and Marketing Opportunities

Catering Sales Manager – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Our Client is a very successful catering company in the GTA and is urgently seeking the talents of an experienced Catering Sales Manager who is self-motivated and a team player. The candidate preferred must have excellent and current Catering Sales experience.

The candidate should have excellent communication, management, problem solving, customer service and organizational skills. This position has a responsibility for developing new and existing accounts in order to achieve maximum revenue.

* Researches market in order to identify potential sources of business within the market segment(s) assigned.
* Solicits business through pre-planned personal sales calls, mailers, marketplaces, attendance at receptions, promotions, telephone calls...
* Accurately confirms all bookings, quotes and negotiates contracts and rate structure, credit policies and corporate policies and procedures.
* Maintains an up -to-date accurate client tracking system by which a logical thorough call pattern can be established.
* Is in close contact with the client or group while in house in order to ensure satisfaction and also to enable re-solicitation for future business.
* Is constantly involved with guest feedback in order to maintain product need and standard of hotel performance.
* Responsible for full market knowledge as it relates to competitors. * Attends trade shows/marketplaces, blitzes.

Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in related position (i.e. banquet facility, catering sales).
* High school diploma or equivalent (preferably in Hospitality Management).
* Proficient in computer programs: Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Must have the ability to work within time constraints and meet deadlines.
* Advanced interpersonal skills for dealing with clients and peers.
* Required to be self-motivated, decisive, responsible and capable of working under stressful situations.
* Previous knowledge of catering/event room set-up preferred.
* Must have a valid driving license and car.

Compensation will be a base salary and a very progressive commission/incentive bonus that would bring the total package to $75,000 to $80,000++ if you hit all the catering sales targets as well as a mileage allowance will be offered. This is a top sales position and we are only seeking the best of the best in catering sales in the GTA.  This is NOT an order taker role on the phone.

Chief Business Development & Digital Marketing Officer / Timeshare / Hotels – Malaysia

Our client is a subsidiary of a multinational conglomerate with diversified businesses and regional offices all through Asia & Africa. In line with their long-term strategic growth plans, they seek a dynamic Head of Business Development & Online Marketing.
Reporting to the company Board of Directors, the Head of Business Development and Online Marketing is an integral part of the senior management team and will be overall responsible for:

  • Leading and directing all aspects of business development, marketing, customer experience, information technology, vacation club and resorts operations to achieve revenue and profit growth targets.
  • Devising strategies to drive online traffic.

Catering Sales Manager – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

A luxury catering facility in Toronto with outstanding catering and banqueting facilities requires a top notch Catering Sales Manager specializing in the wedding/social/corporate market who is self-motivated and a team player. The candidate preferred should have a proven Catering Sales experience in the Toronto area with a high quality operation. Candidate must reflect the impeccable professional image and pride it is expected of a outstanding and first class catering property. This position reports to the Catering Sales Director of this very well-known hospitality establishment.
You will take responsibility for proactively networking in the social market community, while maintaining existing sales relationships and developing new market niches and clients. Exercising high level yield management practices, you will achieve or exceed food and beverage sales targets and objectives and ensure sales and forecasting reports are completed to monitor progress.

They are seeking an individual who is a strong motivator and possesses a hands-on team leading management style. An experienced Director of Sales & Marketing is required to open a 250 room beautiful new resort opening in Oman that will be visited by leisure and business travelers from all over the Middle East and worldwide.  This new property comprises of restaurants, lounge, large meeting/banquets and leisure facilities for both adults and children. 

This 4-5 star brand is highly respected World Wide and its name is a household label… This post will report to the Cluster General Manager, as well as Area Director of Sales and Business Strategies.  Their preference is a Lebanese or Jordanian citizen or similar. 
For the Director of Business Development role preference would be given to Arabic speaker, with prior work experience in international hotel chain and with minimum 2 years as Director of Sales and Marketing.  The preferred candidate should also have work experience in the GCC Market. 

He/she will be responsible  for implementing all sales and marketing activities and maximize property’s business opportunities.  You will also be responsible for leading the property's MICE business and be supportive in the implementation of this segment sales strategy and achieve segment revenue goals, overall property goals and guests satisfaction.  

The role is the main link between the property and Area Sales Office.  You will conduct all day-to-day activities related to the sales functions that have a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. 
A Degree or Diploma from a recognized college or university in the area of Sales & Marketing is preferred. 
Technical knowledge and skills required for this post include; Opera, Sales & Marketing Modules. 
Fluency in Arabic and English are mandatory requirements.

Director of Public Relations - Middle East

This exceptional property is a newly opening, 5-Star property belonging to a major Global Luxury Hotel Brand. They are currently seeking a talented Director of Public Relations. The Director of Public Relations manages the overall direction and administration of internal and external public relations activities and generates and maximizes media exposure for the property on a local, regional and national level. The Director of PR will be responsible for generating awareness of the hotel through all media outlets, participation in various community & social events, creating targeted PR campaigns and monitoring the development of all marketing and advertising initiatives.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding PR professional, with a solid track record of building and managing national and global communications programs. The Director of PR will possess extensive experience in managing press activity and will have well-established relationships with key media and stakeholders across the region.  The Director of Public Relations will be reporting to the Director of Marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic public relations programs
  • Assist Director of Marketing to oversee all media, internal and external communication material
  • Distribute media releases to the key markets at both national and local level
  • Keep abreast of consumer and trade media interests in order to better capitalize on publicity opportunities
  • Develop relationships with organizations and businesses within key markets
  • Manage all media inquiries, press visits and onsite productions
  • Monitor all forms of media (TV, radio, print and social media), report on value of media mentions
  • Develop engaging stories for the hotel on the brand, hotel and promotional level. Create media personalities within hotel staff- i.e. chefs, concierge, etc. to generate positive exposure for the hotel.
  • Be the public face for the property, especially in the Arabic speaking market
  • Responsible for the branding of all hotel printed materials, ensure they meet Company Standards

Expectations & Requirements

  • Previous PR experience and work Experience in the Middle East required
  • Experience and connections with GCC Press in the region required.
  • Specific diploma in area of scope: Marketing, PR, Digital Communications
  • Full comprehension of all media channels/outlets and strong Digital Media understanding
  • New Opening/Launch experience preferred
  • Excellent writing and public communication skills in English and Arabic

A well-known and respected four star full service Hotel group in Europe seeks a German speaking Vice President Sales & Marketing.  Working experience in Europe is mandatory and experience in a Corporate or equivalent Sales & Marketing role would be considered a valuable asset.  As the group has 75 hotels, experience overseeing a large number of properties would be mandatory. Fluency in German and English is a mandatory requirement.

Based in the Corporate office (in Germany) the Vice President Sales & Marketing will be responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing functions in Europe.  This well-established group is a leader in their market segment. 
The primary responsibilities for this post include optimizing and directing the total sales resources within the group, as well as the hotel and cluster sales resources.  In addition, the VP Sales and Marketing will manage key international clients as well as the groups Global Tradeshow and Customer events participation.

Experience required for this post:
Experience in Europe (and especially in Germany) is mandatory.
