Director Business Development & Strategy


  1. Candidate must be currently holding the Position of Director of Business Development & Strategy, within  a large 5-star hotel property,  handling at least minimum 300 rooms and over 5 food & beverage outlets as well as large conference & banqueting facilities
  2. Must have over 2- year’s hotel experience as Director Business Development & Strategy.
  3. Candidate must be a “Curious Go-Getter” over 35 years.  Preference will be given to Arabic speakers.
  4. Must have GCC or Middle East Experience.

Remuneration & Benefits offered

  • Salary range up to USD 5300- per month depending on candidate’s experience.
  • Accommodation – Fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment inclusive of utilities will be provided by the company however, if candidate wishes to live on his/her own the housing allowance of USD 1200/- will be provided.
  • Transport – USD 212 per month
  • Telephone Allowance – USD 93/- per month (business calls only)
  • Annual Leave – 30-days paid leave
  • Annual Flight Tickets – provided for Self, Spouse and for two children up to 18 years of age. Ticket will be provided to native country only.
  • Duty Meals – For self only at the Management dining. For any extra the following will apply
  • For food cost 10% + government  levy
  • For beverage 15% + government levy
  • Laundry – Up to USD 530/- per month (this is not paid in cash) however, any extra laundry above the stipulated amount will be charged at selling price less 50%.
  • Hotel Facilities – Entitled to all hotel facilities.
  • Unaccompanied air cargo – up to 500 kgs.
  • Medical Coverage – Provided for self, spouse and 2 children up to 18 years of age.

Life Insurance – 24-month coverage provided.

Chief Business Development & Digital Marketing Officer / Timeshare / Hotels – Malaysia

Our client is a subsidiary of a multinational conglomerate with diversified businesses and regional offices all through Asia & Africa. In line with their long-term strategic growth plans, they seek a dynamic Head of Business Development & Online Marketing.

Reporting to the company Board of Directors, the Head of Business Development and Online Marketing is an integral part of the senior management team and will be overall responsible for:

  • Leading and directing all aspects of business development, marketing, customer experience, information technology, vacation club and resorts operations to achieve revenue and profit growth targets.
  • Devising strategies to drive online traffic.
  • Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Overseeing the social media strategy for the company.
  • Directing and enhancing the company’s systems and procedures to achieve operational excellence and enhance customer satisfaction

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Experience in Asia is mandatory. Our client prefers experience outside of Asia i.e. USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe as well.
  • Fluent written & spoken English.
  • Exceptionally presentable (look “sharp”) as you will be required to make presentations to the Board of Directors.
  • He/she will have a Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent with minimum 10 years of managerial level business development, product development, and travel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
  • Experience in ecommerce, SEO, PPC, Email marketing, and social media.
  • Driven, strategic, commercially savvy, strong understanding of finance and IT operations with excellent people skills are core competencies required.

Director of Sales – British Columbia, Canada

Our client in British Columbia urgently requires an outstanding Director of Sales or possibly title of Director of Sales and Marketing who will be responsible for a high end mountain resort property in British Columbia This position reports directly to General Manager at this outstanding resort property.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales plans and cost effective activities with the aim of maximizing revenue potential for this operation.  You will have excellent sales abilities in the BC, Canada and the USA that covers all market segments of leisure, tour & travel segments.

Our client requests current or previous British Columbia/Alberta resort sales experience who can lead a great sales team.  must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal and team building proficiency with the ability to coach, mentor, motivate and have a good rapport with all.

This individual must have the ability to develop a sound and progressive sales plan, participate and coordinate all key sales initiatives including major sales blitzes, familiarization trips, client events and tradeshows. The candidate should have a proven track record of success and be currently in a top sales role,  preference will be given to candidates who have outstanding sales experience in a 4 star resort property in British Columbia or Alberta.

You must have a strong and proven track record of meeting aggressive sales, growth targets and you know how to drive the business forward. The idea candidate should have strong sales drive and must also be Internet/social media savvy to keep abreast of current market trends in the resort industry in Canada.

We have been retained by our client, a beautiful new 5 star resort / hotel chain with over 200 rooms in the Indian Ocean to source an excellent  Director of Sales & Marketing.

Job Description and Profile of the successful candidate:
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Sales & Marketing capacity within the hospitality and hotel industry.
•Experience at a Resort in the Indian Ocean is an asset.
•Pre-opening/opening experience is an asset.
•Enthusiastic, dynamic, self-motivated and creative.
•Entrepreneurial and able to drive negotiation to positive conclusions.
•Disciplined, organized and structured.
•Business or Sales degree an advantage
•Proven experience leading a Sales & Marketing Team

•Development of Sales & Marketing activity plans and implementation of all requirements for the Resort.
•Maximize business opportunities for the Resort from geographically assigned territories and customers.
•Achieve approved forecasts and budgets as set by the General Manager.
•Responsible for departmental profit/loss analysis.
•Establish good working relationship with all local and international travel agents and corporate accounts.
•Produce monthly Sales & Marketing reports in detail of all sales activities and results.

Director Sales and Marketing - Malaysia

One of the well-recognized Malaysian Groups who owns several 4 and 5 star properties seeks a strong Director of Sales & Marketing who will be based at their newly renovated 5 star boutique Mansion and be responsible for all the hotels owned by the group.  
The ideal candidate must have current or recent working experience in Malaysia or Asia in hotels which are boutique, Design or W Hotels style. 

Preference to Malaysian citizens or PR. 

Job description & Responsibilities: 
Spearhead the direction of all sales and marketing initiatives for the Hospitality division for the Group.
Achieve the agreed revenue targets for the properties, coach and continue to develop a dynamic team, drive growth in MICE business, foster strong client relationships to secure and retain clients, as well as establish, review and implement any systems necessary to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department.
Improve the company's presence through the introduction of Web, Social Media and Brand development with the ability to connect with other markets segments.
Ensure the hotel meets or exceeds budgeted goals.
Direct the Sales & Marketing team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segment.
Work with the management team to create and implement a sales and marketing plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment
Maintain and promote a team work environment with effective and clear communication among co-workers.
Ensure best client service is being made available through communication among the team, cross training within the department and appropriate office coverage.

Event Catering Coordinator – East Toronto, Ontario, Canada

We are conducting a search for a Event Catering Coordinator in the East GTA for one of our clients. This individual that they are seeking, must be passionate about event/corporate catering and who has sound food and beverage experience.
You will assist in supervising all catering and event services for the company. You will also be responsible for coordinating events and will help manage service teams at all events and catering functions.  
Will be a Event/Catering/Corporate leader with proven ability to coordinate multiple corporate and social events. Have solid knowledge of quality service standards, corporate/event management operations and practices.  
The successful candidate will possess a good knowledge in food, wine and service techniques, with experience managing people in a food & beverage setting. Must be able to build and maintain good relationships with customers, clients and staff.

This position offers a base salary of $36,000 to start with some small share of gratuities at functions that you administer. German speaking Vice President Sales & Marketing – Germany

A well-known and respected four star full service Hotel group in Europe seeks a German speaking Vice President Sales & Marketing.  Working experience in Europe is mandatory and experience in a Corporate or equivalent Sales & Marketing role would be considered a valuable asset.  As the group has 75 hotels, experience overseeing a large number of properties would be mandatory.
Fluency in German and English is a mandatory requirement.

Based in the Corporate office (in Germany) the Vice President Sales & Marketing will be responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing functions in Europe.  This well-established group is a leader in their market segment. 
The primary responsibilities for this post include optimizing and directing the total sales resources within the group, as well as the hotel and cluster sales resources.  In addition, the VP Sales and Marketing will manage key international clients as well as the groups Global Tradeshow and Customer events participation.

Experience required for this post:
Experience in Europe (and especially in Germany) is mandatory.
Managed a senior sales leadership role in the European region across hospitality, travel or services.
Has led a sales team to success exceeding their revenue and market share targets.
Understands and has applied strategic sales management principles in managing resources and business outcomes.
Managed a Global Sales and Marketing organization for a hospitality, travel or services business.
International exposure to sales and customer management across Europe.
Excellent business contacts in MICE, Leisure and Consortia business segments.

A Business Degree from a recognized University.
MBA or Masters in a related discipline include International business, Sales, Marketing or Promotions.

Korean Director of Sales – Seoul, Korea

The Korean Director of Sales will be based in the group’s Sales office in Seoul, Korea.
An independent SE Asian group well known for their luxury properties seeks a Korean Director of Sales for their 5* award winning hotels and resorts in Indonesia.

Based in the Sales Office in Seoul, Korea, the Director of Sales will be a highly motivated, proactive, self-starter and aggressive sales individual, with extensive knowledge of Korean “wholesalers” throughout Indonesia, Korea and South East Asia.
You must also have experience working in 5* International hospitality groups. You must have a passion for sales, client relationships and are a proven self-starter.

This position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Marketing Executive (Pre-Opening) – Indian Ocean

Our client, a 4+ star Luxury resort in Maldives set to open late 2017, requires the talents of a young, energetic Marketing Executive. The property boasts over 150 sea villas & rooms with multiple F&B outlets, seafront bars and a wide array of activities.  

Some experience in marketing of resorts in European markets is strongly preferred.

The Marketing Manager will be working alongside the Managing Director as well as the General Manager to establish and develop business strategies for the resort. The applicant should possess about 3 of experience in a similar role. Pre-opening experience will be an asset.
