Chinese speaking Sales Manager – Hong Kong 

A new 5* luxury hotel/serviced residence seeks a Chinese speaking Sales Manager, with extensive working experience in Asia and especially in Hong Kong. 

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Sales Manager will need to have an understanding, ability and resourcefulness to react to various market factors to harness available business opportunities.  You must have the drive and ambition to achieve great results and be able to initiate new business opportunities.   
The ideal candidate would be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently and have an excellent awareness of the hospitality industry in Hong Kong and in Asia.   
You should have minimum of 8 years of experience in recognized properties and be ideally employed in a similar position. 

The Sales Manager must focus on corporate marketplace, particularly with reference to group business.  You should be organized and have the ability to generate sales activity reports.  The individual will have the ability to develop a sound and progressive sales plan, participate and coordinate all key sales initiatives including sales blitzes, familiarization trips, client events and tradeshows.   

The ideal candidate must also be Internet savvy and keep abreast of current market trends in the industry.  Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive approach in obtaining and maintaining priority list of accounts and the focus will be on cultivating relationships, building business, providing a stable and positive work environment for the team to achieve budgeted goals. Ability to quickly evaluate situations and alternatives and decide on a plan of action is a must. 
Excellent communication and presentation skills are desired with fluency in Cantonese and otherChinese dialects.

Association Sales Manager – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Our hotel client in Toronto is urgently currently searching for the talents of an exceptional Association Sales Manager. They are seeking a highly motivated individual to promote and develop new business in Toronto and will be responsible for selling to the National Association, State Association, Government and Not-for-profit market segments.

This position will work directly in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the General Manager to develop and achieve property revenue goals. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, strong organizational skills and is detail oriented.

The selected candidate that will be chosen will have some or all of the following experience and skills: *Must be a proven closer of volume business with at least a minimum of 3 years of direct selling experience, preferably in the Toronto Association market.

*The ability to identify to present, negotiate, convince, sell and influence buyers, obtain new accounts and to develop client retention programs for existing accounts.

* Excellent verbal and written communication, computer literacy, organizational and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and maximize sales goals and revenue are required.

* Detail oriented with a proven track record of progressive performance in your sales career to date. *Experience working in a high end quality 300 to 600 plus room property is a definite asset plus and knows the Canadian association market extremely well.

* Must maintain a strong interpersonal relationships with customers as this will be paramount to be successful in this key sales management position.

Convention Sales Manager – Germany

Our client, a 5 star hotel in Frankfurt is searching for a Convention Sales Manager. The candidate should upsell client events and manage function space and room block inventory to maximise hotel profit. Ensure hotel and client fulfil group contractual commitments.

Oversee all functions of the Conference/Conventions Services Department. Ensure that all conferences, meetings and group activities are coordinated and managed within client expectations

Requirement:
The candidate must be fluent in German, enjoy client interactions, have superb attention to detail, two years of conference service experience, and must be flexible with working hours. 

The salary is roughly €3500 gross a month, there isn't a housing allowance, relocation expenses are negotiable, and marital status isn't a consideration.

Catering Sales Manager - GTA - Catering Company

Our Client is a very successful catering company in the GTA and is urgently seeking the talents of an experienced Catering Sales Manager who is self-motivated and a team player. The candidate preferred must have excellent and current Catering Sales experience.
The candidate should have excellent communication, management, problem solving, customer service and organizational skills. This position has a responsibility for developing new and existing accounts in order to achieve maximum revenue.

* Researches market in order to identify potential sources of business within the market segment(s) assigned.
* Solicits business through pre-planned personal sales calls, mailers, marketplaces, attendance at receptions, promotions, telephone calls...
* Accurately confirms all bookings, quotes and negotiates contracts and rate structure, credit policies and corporate policies and procedures.
* Maintains an up -to-date accurate client tracking system by which a logical thorough call pattern can be established.
* Is in close contact with the client or group while in house in order to ensure satisfaction and also to enable re-solicitation for future business.
* Is constantly involved with guest feedback in order to maintain product need and standard of hotel performance.
* Responsible for full market knowledge as it relates to competitors. * Attends trade shows/marketplaces, blitzes.
* Stays currents on local competition and marketplace, conducting price comparisons
* Solicit corporate group in the GTA.
* Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce corporate group business
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in related position (i.e. banquet facility, catering sales).
* High school diploma or equivalent (preferably in Hospitality Management).
* Ability to work extended hours due to business levels, including weekends and nights.
* Previous knowledge of catering/event room set-up preferred.
* Must have a valid driving license and car.

Compensation will be a base salary and a very progressive commission/incentive bonus that would bring the total package to $75,000 to $80,000++ if you hit all the catering sales targets as well as a mileage allowance will be offered.

Director of Sales - Ontario major hotel property 

Our leading hotel client in Ontario requires an outstanding Director of Sales who will spear head, motivate and lead the current properties sales team. The main focus will be to attract new corporate group business to this very well-known property in Ontario. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales plans and cost effective activities with the aim of maximizing revenue potential for this major hotel property in Ontario.  You will be a champion in building and penetrating new markets in the corporate group sale, conference, tour and travel segment, customer relationship management and sales channel management.
You will develop budgets and projections for each market segment of the industry and have the ability to conceptualize the mission and provide leadership to your sales team and set goals to achieve their sales forecasted and company mission statements.
You will provide leadership to each of the departments to achieve their sales and marketing targets and to maximize sales opportunities for this major hospitality operation. You should also be very internet savvy in the Toronto, Ontario, Canadian and USA market place.
You must have a strong and proven track record of meeting aggressive sales and growth targets and you know how to drive the business forward.

The ideal candidate should have strong sales drive, budgetary, projections, and cost control skills.  You should currently have at least 5 years of leading management sales experience in a major hotel/resort operation and have truly outstanding presentation and communication skills.

Our client in British Columbia urgently requires an outstanding Director of Sales who will be responsible for a high end mountain resort property in British Columbia This position reports directly to General Manager at this outstanding resort property.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales plans and cost effective activities with the aim of maximizing revenue potential for this operation.  You will have excellent sales abilities in the BC, Canada and the USA that covers all market segments of leisure, tour & travel segments.
Our client requests current or previous British Columbia/Alberta resort sales experience who can lead a great sales team.  must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal and team building proficiency with the ability to coach, mentor, motivate and have a good rapport with all.

This individual must have the ability to develop a sound and progressive sales plan, participate and coordinate all key sales initiatives including major sales blitzes, familiarization trips, client events and tradeshows. The candidate should have a proven track record of success and be currently in a top sales role,  preference will be given to candidates who have outstanding sales experience in a 4 star resort property in British Columbia or Alberta.
You must have a strong and proven track record of meeting aggressive sales, growth targets and you know how to drive the business forward. The idea candidate should have strong sales drive and must also be Internet/social media savvy to keep abreast of current market trends in the resort industry in Canada.

You should currently have at least 3 to 5 years of leading resort/hotel sales experience in a upmarket resort/hotel operation. This is a themed style property with “state of the art” facilities combined with very unique amenities and specialized guest services.

Our client offers an attractive and competitive salary of up to $105,000 with a progressive and predefined bonus of the base salary.

Director of Sales & Marketing – Luxury Boutique Villa Resort in Sri Lanka

Our client is opening a gorgeous boutique Villa resort in Sri Lanka. They are in need of an experienced and well-connected Director of Sales and Marketing to help build and train the sales team, create and implement the sales strategy and lead all business development initiatives to ensure the successful opening and long-term viability of the resort.  In this role, you will report directly to and work with closely with the General Manager and Ownership. International travel will be required to build strong business relationships and partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train and prepare the sales team for a successful opening
  • Establish all procedures and processes necessary in setting up the sales department
  • Manage the development and implementation of the strategic sales plan
  • Analyze and evaluate the market and economic trends to create an effective sales strategy
  • Research and monitor competitor’s sales strategies to identify ways to grow occupancy, RevPAR and market share

Entertainment/Smerf Sales Manager – Toronto, Canada 

Our client is a city Centre, deluxe, mid-sized hotel that are currently searching for an exceptional individual that is a seasoned Entertainment/Smerf Sales Manager who will be handling this market segment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Entertainment/Smerf account management, with a focus on developing new markets and revenue sources. Develop new company strategies with a focus on maximizing yield management practices with a focus on the Toronto downtown and uptown core marketplace.

This individual’s main responsibilities will be to successfully and constantly solicit prospective corporate markets. Achieve agreed goals for all quarters targeting the Entertainment/Smerf segment of the marketplace.

Generating budgeted revenues through personal and team selling. Assisting in establishing revenue goals for existing accounts and key prospects. This person will be expected to consistently meet or exceed sales goals, make effective cold calls and aggressively pursue new accounts. Strong phone, prospecting, negotiating and closing skills required.

A sound track record promoting an atmosphere of teamwork along with excellent technical, time management and organizational skills. Good knowledge of computers and is savvy about the ever changing world on the Internet. Excellent customer service orientation and exceptional detail in follow-up and can think creatively and outside the box in identifying new corporate markets.

Head of Marketing & Business Development / Timeshare / Hotels – Malaysia

Our client is a subsidiary of a multinational conglomerate with diversified businesses and regional offices all through Asia & Africa. In line with their long-term strategic growth plans, they seek a dynamic Head of Business Development & Online Marketing.
Reporting to the company Board of Directors, the Head of Business Development and Online Marketing is an integral part of the senior management team and will be overall responsible for:

  • Leading and directing all aspects of business development, marketing, customer experience, information technology, vacation club and resorts operations to achieve revenue and profit growth targets.

  • Experience in ecommerce, SEO, PPC, Email marketing, and social media.
  • Driven, strategic, commercially savvy, strong understanding of finance and IT operations with excellent people skills are core competencies required.
